SC Student Selected by National Alliance as Rising Leaders

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools along with the Public Charter School Alliance of South Carolina is thrilled to announce the first class of Rising Leaders, a cohort of 10 high school charter students who have earned the opportunity to develop leadership and advocacy skills with training from policy professionals. 2021 Hospitality-Tourism Education Scholarship

Visit York County will award an educational scholarship valued at $2,000 to the top candidate as determined by a panel of hospitality and tourism leaders. The scholarship recipient will be notified during National Travel & Tourism Week, May 2-8, 2021.

Horse Creek Academy Closes on Deal to Help Expand Current Campus 

AIKEN, SC: With great excitement, Horse Creek Academy, a free public charter school, announces they have finalized a plan to expand their existing campus. Horse Creek Academy is using a $17.195 million bond issue through the SC Jobs-Economic Development Authority to finance the construction of a new upper school facility. On Thursday, March 4, 2021, the school, acting through its Board of Directors, closed on the deal.

Riverwalk Academy Finalizes Deal to Purchase Facility and Surrounding Land

Rock Hill, SC – Riverwalk Academy, a public charter school, is excited to announce that the school has finalized a deal to purchase its current facility and the surrounding land. On Friday, February 26, 2021, Riverwalk Academy, acting through its Board of Directors, closed on the issuance of South Carolina Jobs Economic Development Authority Educational Facilities Revenue Bonds in the amount of $13,465,000.00. The transaction allows Riverwalk Academy to acquire the 37,000 sq ft main building and the surrounding 20.5 acres of land which is located at 5750 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, SC.
